Description:

Guardian wide-width fiberglass insulation is designed for walls and ceilings of metal-building and post-frame construction. The vapor retarders can be exposed - yielding an attractive appearance, avoiding additional cosmetic covering. Each has a composite UL rating - FHC 25/50 (Class 1 or Class A) and qualifies for the lowest possible insurance rates. Guardian’s wide-width metal building and post-frame insulation products include: Unfaced Metal Building Insulation, Condensation Blanket, Foil Scrim Kraft (FSK, Flame Spread 25) and Polypropylene Scrim Kraft (PSK - standard duty).

New Construction.
Guardian’s wide-width fiberglass insulation is designed to fit between structural steel or framing members and sheeting. It can be easily pulled taut to remove wrinkles and sags.

FACED METAL - BUILDING INSULATION BLANKET

DESCRIPTION
Guardian laminated metal-building insulation is a high-quality fiberglass blanket used for metal building applications. Guardian laminated building insulation exhibits excellent resiliency. Guardian laminated fiberglass insulation has excellent thermal performance and sound absorption properties.

APPLICATION
Laminated fiberglass insulation is the most widely used form of insulation for metal buildings. Guardian laminated fiberglass insulation blanket is used in a variety of insulation techniques; however, typically it is installed between the structural steel and sheeting. Guardian laminated fiberglass insulation is easily pulled taut to eliminate many wrinkles and sags that detract from interior appearances.

PLAIN METAL-BUILDING INSULATION

DESCRIPTION
Guardian’s plain metal-building insulation is a light density unfaced blanket of fiberglass. Its purpose is to add to a structure’s thermal performance by the addition of one or more layers of unfaced insulation next to the interior layer of faced metal-building insulation.

USES
PMBI is designed for use in the roof or wall system of metal buildings.

AVAILABLE PRODUCTS
Plain metal-building insulation is available in standard roll width of 2', 3', 4', 5' or 6'. Non-standard widths are available as quantities and volume dictate.

Guardian plain metal-building insulation is not intended to be laminated and sold as faced metal-building insulation. It is sold as an economical layer of unfaced fiberglass roll blanket.

CONDENSATION BLANKET

DESCRIPTION
Guardian’s condensation blanket is composed of long glass fibers bonded together with a thermosetting resin to make a lightweight, versatile and easy-to-install moisture protecting insulation roll. A variety of reinforced vapor retarder facings are available to provide excellent light reflectivity as well as vapor permeance ratings.

Guardian’s condensation blanket is available in standard 72" width and 100' length to provide for ease in handling and installation as well as to simplify storage and inventory control. Custom length rolls can be special ordered for specific projects. Contact your sales representative for details.

USES
Guardian’s condensation blanket is ideally suited for condensation protection in unheated Pre-Engineered Metal Building and Post-Frame structures.

Guardian’s condensation blanket is available with an Underwriters Laboratories (UL) label on each roll designating the product has been tested to achieve a flame spread rating of less than 25 and a smoke developed rating of less than 50.

Guardian’s condensation blanket is easy to install and is available with (2)-3" stapling tabs or (1) 6" reinforced, no-staple tab.

NOTE: Guardian’s condensation blanket is NOT sold as a thermal barrier. The insulating value of the product is negligible and should NOT be utilized in applications where thermal performance of any degree is required.
