ToughRock® Fireguard® and Fireguard® C gypsum board have noncombustible (as described and tested in accordance with ASTM E 136), dimensionally stable gypsum cores. The core has been reinforced with the addition of inorganic glass fibers, increasing its strength and its resistance to the passage of heat. The reinforced core enables ToughRock Fireguard gypsum board to help protect framing members and preventing or delaying the spread of fire. With joints covered, ToughRock Fireguard board will resist passage of smoke.
