MODIFIED ASPHALT PLUS
Description
GAFMC RUBEROID® Modified Asphalt Plus is an SEBS Modified
Asphalt that meets or exceeds requirements of ASTM D6152. RUBEROID Modified
Asphalt Plus is used in the roofing industry as an elastomeric adhesive
and waterproofing agent when mopping in - insulation, base sheets, interply
sheets, cap sheets, and gravel. RUBEROID Modified Asphalt Plus is manufactured
using heat and weather resistant SEBS polymer and formulated asphalts that
provide greater elongation, elasticity, low temperature flexibility, and
toughness, when compared to conventional oxidized roofing asphalt.
Advantages
RUBEROID Modified Asphalt Plus, when used with fiberglass or polyester
sheets, produces a roofing system that greatly improves elongation, fatigue
cracking resistance, tensile strength, low temperature flexibility, and
puncture resistance, when compared to conventional Built-Up Roofing Systems
using oxidized asphalt. RUBEROID Modified Asphalt Plus can be heated using
a conventional roofing pump kettle and applied using standard handling

Uses
RUBEROID Modified Asphalt Plus is compatible with Built-Up Roofing
and mop applied Modified Bitumen Systems.

RUBEROID Modified Asphalt Plus is available in 60 lb. (27.2kg) (approx.)
self release fiber kegs.
Application
RUBEROID Modified Asphalt Plus is designed to be used with GAFMC's
GAFGLAS® products and systems as well as GAFMC's RUBEROID
mop applied Modified Bitumen roofing materials.

The container for GAFMC Roofing Asphalt is NOT intended for unprotected
long-term storage. To assure asphalt usability and optimum storage duration,
take the following precautions:

Protect containers from adverse weather conditions and prolonged exposure
to sunlight.

Closed storage areas must have sufficient ventilation to avoid heat build-up

Store upright as asphalt will flow from tipped containers, the hotter the
weather the quicker the flow

Store out of water. Do not stack cartons.
