The UNA-CLAD® UC-1 is a Snap-On Standing Seam roofing system
that allows a distinctly different look to enhance the architect’s design
while meeting current wind-load design for architectural metal roofing. Concealed
fasteners and hold-down clips allow for freedom of movement for general expansion
and contraction. It is recommended that UC-1 panels be installed over a solid
substrate such as plywood and an underlayment of 30# felt. Panels for mansard
or canopy installations may utilize open framing systems. The UC-1 roofing system
is available in 22, 24, 26 gauge painted galvanized steel, .032 and .040 painted
and anodized aluminum, and 16 oz. and 20 oz. Architectural Grade Sheet Copper.
Heavier gauges, narrower widths, and embossing minimize oil canning.
Note: Oil canning is not a cause for rejection.
