Beauty, Craftsmanship and Durability
For over 20 years FairWeather site furnishings have been manufactured
to meet the needs of our customers worldwide. We provide beauty, craftsmanship,
and durability with our site furnishings. Whether you order from our standard
product line or you have a custom project, you know it will be done with
pride and attention to detail.
While we take great pride in our standard products, we especially enjoy
the challenge of creating furnishings to meet special needs. We can manufacture
to your specifications, or work with you through the design process.
Our products can be used in family groupings within the same series,
combined with other products or they can stand alone, depending on the
needs of the project.
Powder Coating: Following fabrication products shall be cleaned
and treated with an iron phosphate process prior to the coating application.
This process shall include a non-chromated alkaline cleaner and an iron
phosphate treatment followed with an acidic sealer for maximum adhesion.
The protective coatings shall be either polyester or polyester TGIC powder.
Following application the parts shall be baked until properly cured. The
coating shall be a minimum of 4 mils thick on all surfaces. Standard colors
are: Sky White, Harbor Gray, Gloss, Semi-gloss or Flat Black, Forest Green,
Evergreen, Sargasso Green, Mineral Bronze, Walnut Brown, Ocean Blue, Prussian
Blue, Sapphire Blue, Royal Blue, Burgundy, Cardinal Red, Safety Yellow.
Custom color matches can be special ordered.
Wood: Woods most often used for FairWeather products are clear
vertical grain Douglas fir, clear western red cedar, and ipe, a Brazilian
hardwood that is excellent for both interior and exterior applications.
Clear Heart Redwood can be used but is subject to availability.
Wood Finish: All wood for exterior use shall be treated with
a clear wood preservative unless otherwise specified. For interior
use, wood shall be oiled, hand wiped and air-dried.
Recycled Plastic: Recycled plastic offers an environmentally
friendly alternative to wood. It is almost maintenance free and will sustain
its color and appearance for years. Our recycled plastic is made from purified
high density polyethylene such as milk containers, and includes UV inhibitors
to reduce fading. It will not rot , warp, splinter or crack. Standard colors
are weathered wood, cedar, gray and light oak.
