ISOCAST™ R Insulation features a thermally efficient polyisocyanurate foam core with trilaminate facers on both sides. It is designed for use in concrete sandwich panels where it is sandwiched between two layers of concrete with connectors holding the finished panel together.
The trilaminate (aluminum/poly/kraft) facers make ISOCAST™ R Insulation virtually moisture resistant. Because it has no exposed metal facings, ISOCAST™ R Insulation will not corrode or react chemically with the concrete in sandwich panel applications. In addition, the insulation offers economical thermal performance under the harsh vapor drive conditions often exhibited in precast concrete panels in cold climates.
Complies with ASTM C1289 Type I, Class 1. Meets IBC/IRC requirements for foam plastic insulation. See ICC-ES NER-616. FM specification tested.
