DKS maximum security series slide gate operator systems are designed for industrial applications demanding the highest level of perimeter security (Airports, Seaports, Military Bases, Government Buildings, Electric Plants, Water Treatment Facilities, Dams, etc.). Rather than rely on a friction drive rail system that can be difficult to install, often slip in inclement weather or can be compromised, the DKS Maximum Security series of operators use a high tensile steel alloy roller chain to provide a direct mechanical connection to the gate operator. Chain size varies from #50 up to #100, depending on the weight of the gate.
The microprocessor based control board (engineered and manufactured by DoorKing in Inglewood, CA.) provides innovative and outstanding features including anti-tailgating, adjustable mid-stop and tamper proof internally driven limit switches. A solid-state speed controller features slow-start and slow-stop operation and allows the user to set the speed of the gate from 1 to 2 ft/sec, and on certain models up to 4 ft/sec. Our unique Gate Tracker™ reporting function sends important gate operator data to a companion DKS 1830 Series access control system and "plug-in" vehicular loop detectors greatly simplify wiring and installation requirements.
These Maximum Security operators are designed to operate vehicular slide gates in limited (Class III) and restricted (Class IV) applications only. These operators should never be used in applications serving the general public. These operators are designed so that they can easily be mounted in the front, center or rear of the gate without any costly and time consuming field modifications. Center mounting the operator requires an optional pedestal mounting base. The speed control on the 9220 and 9230 models allows the user to set the speed of the gate from 1/2 to 2 feet/sec., and provides slow-start and slow-stop functions as well.
The DKS 9500 series operators are designed to operate very heavy vehicular slide gates in limited (Class III) and restricted (Class IV) applications only. These operators should never be used in applications serving the general public. The 9500 series uses a high tensile steel alloy #100 roller chain as the pulling medium, which is immune to slippage and simplifies installation. These operators include a speed control module which allows the user to set the speed of the gate from 1/2 to 4 feet/sec., and have a slow-start and slow-stop function as well.
