DKS access control devices are available in both stand-alone and wiegand output models. Stand-alone models are used when the access device controls a single door or gate without any connection to an access controller. The device itself (RF receiver, card reader or keypad) stores the various access codes and makes the decision to grant or deny access.
Wiegand output models interface directly with an access controller and send the access data to the controller where the decision to grand or deny access is made.

Our coding and encryption schemes are not shared with other producers (such as automobile manufacturers), resulting in transmitter codes that cannot be duplicated or copied. With MicroPLUS™ controls, you are assured that only the original intended transmitter will activate your access system.

DKS proximity card readers offer the convenience of card access without having to insert or swipe the access card into the card reader device. There are no slots or other openings in a proximity reader than may become contaminated with debris or other matter, and therefore they do not require the same degree of maintenance as a swipe or insert reader. This should be considered if vandalism might be a factor. A unique feature of the DKS proximity card reader product line is that the card readers are compatible with both passive and active tags. This allows a mixing of different cards and tags to achieve desired read ranges in different locations without having to install a second card reader or carry two tags. These readers feature a cosmetically appealing design that will blend with any architectural design and offer high durability and reliability.

DKS Keypads provide access control for virtually any application where digital code entry is desired and can be used in both stand-alone applications or connected to an access control system. These vandal resistant keypads use stainless steel faceplates, galvanized steel sub-plates and are housed in a rugged steel cabinet. Standard style units can be surface or post mounted and flush mount units are designed to be recessed into a wall or column. The "1504 series" adds an intercom sub-station that can be connected to a master intercom system.
