1600 Series Vehicular Barrier (Parking) Gate Operators

DKS 1600 series barrier gate operator systems are designed for commercial and industrial applications. These operators feature a high reliability, low maintenance design and offer advanced features for the parking control industry. All DKS barrier gate operators are designed to meet or exceed the requirements in the U.L. 325 Safety Standard.

The microprocessor based control board (engineered and manufactured by DoorKing in Inglewood, CA.) provides innovative and outstanding features designed for the parking control industry. These advanced features include an up input memory buffer, a down memory option, and the system can take into account multiple up commands. Our unique Gate Tracker reporting function sends important gate operator data to a companion DKS 1830 Series access control system and "plug-in" vehicular loop detectors greatly simplify wiring and installation requirements.

1601

The 1601 is designed for commercial and industrial applications with high traffic counts. Maximum arm length is 14 feet (wood or aluminum) with a rotation of 90° in approximately 1.5 seconds. Folding arm kits are available for low head room applications. Primary reduction is provided by a V-belt / worm gear reduction system running in a continuous oil bath that provides quiet operation. The system is designed to rotate the gearbox a full 360° before reversing. This provides even wear and a long lasting reduction system. The arm rotation is measured by magnetic limit switches that simplify adjustment. The 1601 uses a 1/2 HP motor and can be configured to operate with the following available power sources: 115, 230 or 460 VAC. An optional convenience open package is available that will automatically power the arm to the up position if AC power fails.

1602

The 1602 is designed for industrial applications with low traffic counts. This model uses a wishbone style aluminum arm available in 20, 24 and 27 foot lengths (A wood style arm is available with a maximum length of 20 feet). Because of the length of the arm, this unit rotates the arm 90° in approximately 5.5 seconds. Primary reduction is provided by a V-belt / worm gear reduction system running in a continuous oil bath that provides quiet operation. The arm rotation is measured by magnetic limit switches that simplify adjustment. The 1602 uses a 1 HP motor and can be configured to operate with the following available power sources: 115, 230 or 460 VAC. An optional convenience open package is available that will automatically power the arm to the up position if AC power fails.

1603

The 1603 synchronizes traffic spike deployment with the up/down rotation of the barrier arm and is designed for commercial and industrial applications with high traffic counts. The arm rotation is measured by magnetic limit switches that simplify adjustment. A traffic spike warning sign(1615-081) and/or a red/green traffic signal (1603-210) must be used with this system. The 1603 uses a 1/2 HP motor and can be configured to operate with the following available power sources: 115, 230 or 460 VAC. An optional convenience open package is available that will automatically power the arm to the up position if AC power fails.
