Metalwalk® Rooftop Walkway and Safety Handrail
Growing concerns for metal roof protection from foot traffic as well as rooftop safety issues has highlighted the industry need for a product that seamlessly incorporates both. As OSHA continues to be a driving force in roof top safety, today's walkway not only has to protect the roof, but it also has to protect those walking on it.
METALWALK is a Galvalume® product that is compatible with every type of metal roof. It does not penetrate standing seams, but is held to the roof using a variety of clips depending on the type of standing seam profile. It is also available for screw down "R-Panel" type roofs. It can be pitch corrected on the perpendicular runs as well. The railing is Galvanized Steel and the rail fittings are cast aluminum. The railing is available in "Safety Yellow" and a toeboard is also an option.
METALWALK exceeds OSHA requirements for a 200 lb. lateral load with a 42” high top rail and mid-rail support. Its non-skid surface assures sure footing in all weather conditions. 12” wide interlocking planks allows for flexibility in design. The entire system installs quickly and easily with only hand tools needed.
