FiltrationFiltration is the process of removing turbidity from water, adsorbing undesired odors, taste and colors, eliminating iron and manganese, removing heavy metals such as Arsenic, Chromium or neutralizing the water acidity. Multi-Media Depth filters reduce suspended solidsMixed media, made of specially selected grades of anthracite, sand and garnet materials, offers optimal performance. Coarse, light media stays on top and fine, heavy media remains at the bottom, so different sizes and densities of filter media materials use the entire depth for retention of solids. The true depth filtration results in longer filter run lengths, higher filtration rate, and outstanding water quality.

Cullar® activated carbon filters dechlorination and reduce dissolved organics An activated carbon bed provides chlorine and organic reduction as well as some particle filtration. Cullar® activated carbon, manufactured from select grades of bituminous coal, is a high-activity, durable product that stands up to the abrasion associated with repeated backwashing. Carefully controlled activation provides an exceptionally high internal surface area with optimum pore size to effectively adsorb a broad range of high and low molecular weight organic compounds.

SofteningWater softening consists of removing hardness caused by Calcium and Magnesium salts; and exchanging the hardness ions with Sodium salts, which do not form scale. This is done by passing the water though a bed of ion exchange resin. Brine ReclaimThink green for water treatment. Adding Culligan's brine reclaim system to a water softener can save customers up to 25% or more on salt costs. It's also beneficial for the environment because it reduces the amount of waste water sent to drain. Culligan brine reclaim kit contains a controller plus fittings for 3 softeners and has the capability to add a 4th unit. Aqua-Sensor®Culligan's patented Aqua-Sensor® Regeneration has a probe that can sense when the resin bed is exhausted and will initiate regeneration. Most water softeners regenerate based on time or water flow, but Culligan's patented Aqua-Sensor® technology initiates regeneration when required. As a result, adding Aqua-Sensor to a water softening system will conserve even more salt and water. Progressive FlowWith Culligan's patented progressive flow feature, our customers can size their water softening equipment based average water usage, which helps reduce capital costs. The feature is best suited for applications requiring intermittent/periodic high flow rates. The Culligan Smart Controller monitors water demand and brings additional water softening tanks online or offline as the flow demand increases or decreases.

Chemicals, pH Adjustment & Anti-scalantsCulligan provides a compliment of multi-blended RO anti-scalants and RO cleaning chemicals. These products are more effective than many single compound formulated products offered in the market place. We start with a water analysis and your specific RO system design. Then we use a software program to develop a RO anti-scalant or cleaning program based on your feed water conditions. Our program will help our customers lengthen the run time between RO cleanings and extend the life of RO membranes. Products are available in 5 gallon, 55 gallon and 275 gallon totes.
