PEDI (Portable exchange Deionization)Deionization is the process in which dissolved salts are removed from water by means of ion exchange resins. Both negatively charged anions and the positively charged cations are removed by a charged ion exchange resin. Strong base, weak base and mixed bed deionization systems produce a wide variety of water qualities. These cationic and anionic exchange resins have a specific capacity to remove a known amount of ions and need to be regenerated once the capacity of the resin is depleted. Portable DI systems are delivered to provide a constant supply of quality water. Regeneration or exchange is provided by Culligan dealer. No on-site labor or regenerant chemical handling is necessary.

CEDI (Continuous Electro Deionization)In a continuous electro deionization process, ionic components of a solution are separated by a use of semi-permeable ion-selective membranes. CEDI process removes ions from liquids using electrically active media and an electrical potential to affection transport. CEDI is used as a polishing process to further deionize Reverse Osmosis permeate to megaohm-cm quality water. Automatic Deionization (Filter DI)Automatic DI processes involves automatic de-ionization and regeneration of depleted resins.
