features including:
- Resistance to mold, mildew, and bacteria growth (per ASTM D3273 and ASTM
D3274)
- High impact strength
- High moisture resistance
- Chemical resistance
- Stain resistance
- Sanitary finish
- Low maintenance
- Easy installation
Glasbord® brand frp is manufactured in Channahon, Illinois by Crane Composites,
Inc. Crane Co. is a diversified manufacturer of engineered industrial products
and is traded on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE:CR). Crane Composites is
the world's largest manufacturer of fiberglass reinforced plastic panels with
five manufacturing facilities and twelve local warehouses located in Europe,
Asia, Mexico and the United States. Established in 1954, Crane Composites is
the technological and quality leader in the frp industry. A key element to
Crane Composites success is its commitment to achieving "Operating Excellence." All

have a protective finish called Surfaseal®, which makes Glasbord even easier
to clean. It is available in a variety of formulations to meet the needs of
buildings requiring minimal maintenance and strict sanitation controls. Unlike
all other standard frp panels, Glasbord with Surfaseal is measurably superior.
The Surfaseal finish is a specialty surface chemically fused to polyester resin
finish. This makes daily maintenance easier than ever - up to ten times easier
to clean than other frp panels and up to 6 times more stain resistant.
Glasbord's entire panel is moisture resistant - not just the surface. It
does not support mold or mildew, and it will not rust or corrode.
Glasbord’s surface allows dirt and grease to be cleaned off quickly and
easily. Because it is frp, it is extremely resistant to most stains and chemicals.
Meets USDA/FSIS requirements.
Glasbord is highly resistant to impact and the unique Surfaseal finish resists
scratches and abrasions.
Glasbord, like other types of paneling, is easily cut and drilled with carbide-tipped
equipment.
Color-coordinated moldings and rivets are available to complete the installation.
Glasbord is used in a wide variety of applications where cleanability and sanitation
or abuse resistance are required.
