Fire Doors equipped with UL listed and tested perimeter smoke seals that are UL labeled for proven smoke and draft control per UL 1784. These units carry two labels, one for fire protection and one for smoke and draft control.
SmokeShield Fire Door Labeling:
4 HR, 3 HR, 11/2 HR, 1 HR and 3/4 HR Underwriters' Laboratory (UL) labels
Applications: Buildings with large occupancy rates or with significant material inventories. Also buildings where controlling smoke and fire increases the probability of areas remaining unaffected by fire.
Size Range: Openings up to 34’ W, 30’ H or 768 sq. ft. Masonry or steel wall construction.
Curtain Materials and Finishes:
- Galvanized steel with exclusive GalvaNex™ finish in light gray.
- GalvaNex™ with optional SpectraShield® powder coating.
- 300 series stainless steel with #4 finish.
Operation: M100 FireGard Motor, Chain or Crank Systems recommended for ease of testing and controlled automatic closing speeds.
