Overhead type roll-up insulated fire doors provide UL rated fire protection plus security, sound attenuation, environmental separation and smoke control. The Firemiser carries a tested, Sound Transmission Class rating of STC 27 and the energy saving, insulated curtain provides a 4.2 R-value. Reduce costs by specifying a single Firemiser door to meet multiple design needs, then continue to cash in on the energy savings generated by Firemiser's sealing and insulation.
Firemiser Door Labeling:
4 HR, 3 HR, 11/2 HR, 1 HR and 3/4 HR Underwriters' Laboratory (UL) labels.
Applications: Buildings with planned expansion that will require the opening to be fire rated in the future, for exterior openings with building code required fire protection due to proximity of other structures or for interior fire doors where sound control is desired.
Size Range: Openings up to 30' W, 22' H. Large openings to 34' wide, consult factory.
Curtain Materials and Finishes:
- Galvanized steel with exclusive GalvaNex™ finish in light gray.
- GalvaNex™ with optional SpectraShield® powder coating.
- 300 series stainless steel with #4 finish.
Operation: M100 FireGard Motor, Chain or Crank Systems Only - with easy testing and controlled automatic closing speeds (see below).
SmokeShield® Insulated Fire Doors, Model ERD21: Insulated Fire Doors equipped with perimeter smoke seals that are UL Classified for proven smoke and draft control per UL 1784. These units carry two labels, one for fire protection and one for smoke and draft control.
