Higher Extract Speeds Improve Production and Efficiency

Thanks to programmable extract speeds reaching 200 G-force, MG-Series Washers outperform most other hard-mount washers on the market. This is because most hard-mount washers only produce extract speeds of 75-90 G-force. Why does extract speed matter? As extract speed increases, the amount of water removed from every load increases, as well. Thanks to MG-Series Washers, laundry facilities can significantly cut the time it takes to wash and dry a load of laundry, which in turn, boosts productivity, cuts labor hours and conserves natural gas and electricity.

MG-Series Washers occupy less space than most other hard-mount washers, allowing for more machines or larger capacity machines per square foot. The 40-pound model uses 20 percent less space; while the 55-pound capacity model takes up five percent less space than many hard-mount washers with comparable basket capacities. This space-savings enables laundries to keep pace with growing laundry demands while reducing profit-guzzling overhead costs.

Operating on single-phase power with inverter technology, MG-Series Washers consume less energy and are less costly to install than the industry standard, three-phase power units. No longer is a three-phase breaker required—resulting in a significant savings during installation. If three-phase power is pre-wired, however, MG-Series Washers are easily adapted for this power requirement.

MG-Series technology delivers superior wash quality using considerably less water than many hard-mount washers on the market. The machines feature a sump-less design, which saves up to three gallons of water per fill, compared with washers equipped with an outer tub sump. Advanced engineering also allows MG-Series Washers to conserve even more water via the exclusive AquaFall™ system. With AquaFall, water is released into the load through holes in the drum lifters for better saturation and cleaning. This makes rinsing possible using less water, which equates to considerable savings in water usage and water heating costs! Continental's AquaMixer™ system also improves wash action by mixing hot and cold water to achieve precise bath temperatures—minimizing hot water consumption.

Quality Construction and Durability

MG-Series Washers feature inner and outer drums of durable AISI-304 stainless steel, oversized bearings and bearing housings and a quality sealing system. The front, side and top panels are constructed of steel and coated with Continental's unique Titan Steel Finish™ for superior appearance and corrosion resistance. All machine components are engineered using as few welds as possible to attain unmatched strength. From the rounded cabinet corners to the oversized bearings and quality sealing system, no details were overlooked in the construction of these machines. The oversized door on MG-Series, which allows for easy loading and unloading, is equipped with a heavy-duty, bolt-style hinge to withstand the rigors of constant use. An ADA compliant door handle and an immediate door unlock at the end-of-cycle signal speeds productivity for attendants.

Flexible Control

Superior programmability means laundries can properly clean a variety of fabrics and load types depending on specific laundry needs. The highly flexible Logi Pro Control offers 25 individually modifiable programs—each with up to 11 baths, including multiple pre-wash, wash and rinse cycles. The Logi Pro delivers up to six programmable water levels; a delayed start and rinse option; overnight soak; variable wash action; programmable extract speeds, including zero rotation; temperature controlled fill up to 194 degrees; and timed chemical dosing by the second. To ensure optimum efficiency and results, the Logi Pro Control, incorporates a water and chemical adjustment feature. The user simply selects the size of the load – 1/4 load, 1/2 load, 3/4 load or full load. The control will automatically adjust the amount of water and chemicals according to the selected load size—a feature that saves valuable water and chemicals!

MG-Series Washers offer two means of dispensing chemistry—manually, using a top-mounted dry and liquid chemical dispenser or automatically, via chemical injection. The top-mounted chemistry dispenser features up to four compartments—one for wash, one for optional pre-wash and two for liquid only bleach and sour/neutralizer products. An oversized seal around the dispenser keeps detergents where they belong and a powerful compartment flushing system reduces maintenance by thoroughly cleaning each compartment after every cycle. Automatic liquid chemical injection, on the other hand, not only ensures a consistent clean with every wash, it eliminates the possibility of chemical overuse and resulting damage to fabric due to operator error. Users simply select the program number and press start!

Ease of Maintenance

Nearly all MG-Series components are accessible via the front or top panels of the washer, which are easily removed. To simplify maintenance, the drain and drain valve can be easily accessed by the removal of the front panel. The water valves, hopper flushing system, inverter drive and microprocessor control are within easy reach when the top panel is removed. Bearings are lubricated for a lifetime, the poly-v belt needn't be tightened and bearings and seals are easily replaced without removing the washer drum. Component accessibility is quick and easy.
