Fuddrucker’s® roof deck system project® presented a unique set
of requirements:
- Noise reduction
- Provision of an open, rustic environment
- Utilization of parallel chord wood trusses as roof system support
- Fast construction cycle
Martin Fireproofing and the Perform-A-Deck® DTA system fit the bill:
- Versa-Dek® S, supplied by the Metal Dek Group,™ was selected
as the structural support element and provided the finished interior surface
of the Perform-A-Deck® system
- The acoustical performance of Versa-Dek® S allowed for the openness
of the dining area by eliminating the need for an acoustical ceiling.
- NRC of .90 min. could thus be achieved with Perform-A-Deck® DTA.
- Perform-A-Deck® DTA and the wood trusses were coated with a “Fuddrucker’s
Red” finish to add a dramatic back drop to the open space.

process…submittal of a comprehensive set of drawings of the Perform-A-Deck®

The Perform-A-Deck® DTA system included the roofing substrate, foam insulation,
waterproof membrane and fasteners.”
