Roof Underlayment

Roof Underlayment

Colbond offers a unique matrix product designed to extend the service life of a ballasted or metal roof by providing a space and plane for drainage and ventilation to occur. An added benefit is an acoustic break the matrix provides — reducing impact noise up to 50%. Enkamat is lightweight and easy to install, making it highly attractive to contractors and building owners alike.

Enkamat 7008 / 7010is used under any type of ballasted or metal roof types including zinc, copper, stainless steel, and aluminum. Less than a ½ inch thick, this thin profile mat gives you sound control, drainage, and ventilation all in a single layer. The mat is made of continuous nylon filaments fused at their intersections — providing a 95% open structure that is flexible, yet strong enough to support the full weight of the roof. Enkamat 7008 / 7010 offers benefits that other roof underlayments do not:

Roof Underlayment

Reduces rainfall noise

  • Tested to reduce impact noise (hail, sleet, rain) up to 50% (21.5 dB)

  • Reduces condensation build-up / corrosion under roofing panels
  • Provides maximum ventilation and drainage even under high loads
