PRODUCT PRESENTATION

CLARIDGE VERTICAL SLIDING UNITS

Claridge Vertical Sliding Units provide an optimum visual display surface within easy reach of an instructor / moderator and are the finest and smoothest operating units anywhere.

Standard Vertical Sliding Unit installation consists of:

  • One, two or three sliding panels constructed with honeycomb core
  • Sliding panels are 7/8” thick; two-panel housing is 6-1/2” deep; face is 4” wide

Features:

  • Operating mechanism’s housing and all trim are heavy-gauge extruded aluminum in satin
    anodize finish
  • Panels on wall mounted units slide from the sill or chalktray to the top of the unit
  • Panels on floor mounted units slide from the floor to the top of the unit
  • With optional kick panel, sliding panels can be concealed when in down position, leaving the entire rear wall surface exposed, with a writing surface, a tack surface or a projection screen
  • Balanced, lightweight panel construction safeguards against warpage
  • Provides needed rigidity and eliminates to and fro movement when panels are in use
  • Vertical sliding units are fitted, assembled and erected on a test panel at the factory before shipping; components clearly marked for easy reassembly on the job.
  • Ideal for heavy use

Sliding Panels and Fixed Back Panel options include:

  • Porcelain enamel steel writing surface with either LCS Markerboard or Vitracite Chalkboard
  • Tackable panels of Claridge Cork, Hook-Fab, Fabricork, Designer Fabric or Tan Nucork
  • Glass beaded projection screen
  • Any combination of the above

Vertical Sliding Unit Options:

  • Floor and Wall Mounted
  • Manually or motor operated
  • Remote control for one and two sliding panel motorized vertical units
  • Color anodize or powder coat finish paint aluminum trim
  • Kick panels

Architect’s Specification

Furnish and install, where shown on plans, Vertical Sliding Units as manufactured by Claridge Products and Equipment, Inc., Harrison, Arkansas. Sliding writing surface panels to be (architect to select from 24 gauge LCS markerboard or 24 gauge Vitracite Chalkboard); sliding tackable surface panels to be (architect to select from Claridge Cork, Fabricork, Hook-Fab, Designer Fabric or Tan Nucork). Fixed back panel to be either markerboard, chalkboard, tackboard, projection screen, or any combination of these. Architect to select from manufacturer’s standard colors. Color charts furnished on request. Frame and exposed metal members to be extruded aluminum in etched and anodized satin finish (optional color anodize and powder coat finishes available) with all corners reinforced with angles to strengthen unit and eliminate vibration. Panels to be equipped with ball bearing rollers for elimination of side motion and noise, plus eight (8) ball bearing neoprene end rollers for effortless movement f panels. Sliding panels are counterbalanced and all cables rotate around one central pulley to eliminate racking. Units shall be of dimensions shown in details and in accordance with manufacturer’s shop drawings as approved by the architect.
