DryRight is a first-of-its-kind insulation product combining a dependable, thermally efficient fiber glass batt with MemBrain™ - The Smart Vapor Retarder, our advanced vapor retarder that actually changes its permeability based on humidity conditions. Simply put, DryRight helps keep moisture out of your wall cavities. Good moisture control helps reduce the risk of mold and mildew.
DryRight insulation is intended for use in residential and commercial construction as a thermal and acoustical insulation in wall and ceiling cavities. Installing DryRight insulation is an easy, cost-effective method to help conserve energy. It also offers thermal properties and excellent acoustical performance. The product is also GREENGUARD® Children & Schools Certified which means it is regularly tested for low emissions of formaldehyde, VOCs, respirable particles and other pollutants using the strongest environmental protocols.
During the heating season, when average relative humidities in insulated cavities are typically low, DryRight's facing works as a vapor barrier. How? The facing's molecularscale pores close under dry conditions, blocking vapor transmission and keeping moisture out of the wall cavity.
During the cooling season when average relative humidities are typically high, DryRight's unique facing changes its permeance to increase the closed building envelope system's drying potential. How? The facing's molecular-scale pores open under moist conditions, allowing water vapor to exit the wall cavity.
