Girt Types (Inset Girt/Flush Wall)
For Flush Wall Condition 8 1/2 or 10 inches deep, Inset Girts are used
and building columns are limited to maximum depth of 7 1/2 or 9 inches
so that the inner flange of the column will not extend beyond the inside
flange of the girts. Due to these two restrictions, Flush Wall buildings
are not as economical as buildings with By-pass or regular Inset Girts,
but can be specified if the inside of the walls must be flat with no column
outsets.
