PURLIN (or ROOF) EXTENSION
When an endwall roof overhang is required, a Purlin Extension can be
furnished. Projection of the cantilevered purlins is measured from
the outside face of the end wall girts. If building has eave line
canopies the Purlin Extension will also extend out to the end of each canopy.
Purlin Extensions may be specified on one or both ends of the building.
In addition to the cantilevered end bay purlins, a Purlin Extension
includes additional roof sheets, color-coated soffit panels (MVW or MIP
configuration) for attachment to bottom of the purlins, and rake, eave,
and other trim to match trim on the main building.
Purlin Extensions with projections greater than 63 and/or with widths
less than the total width of the building must be quoted.
