EAVE LINE CANOPY ---- FLUSH TYPE
When a side wall roof overhang is required, a Flush Type Line Canopy
can be furnished, provided the projection of the canopy does not exceed
50, measured from the outside face of the side wall girts. A Flush
Type Eave Line Canopy may be specified on one or both sides of the building.
If specified on the high side of a single slope building this type canopy
will slope upward as a continuation of the buildings roof line.
This type canopy on a side wall works well with a Purlin Extension on
an end wall since the position of the canopy rafter allows soffit sheets
on both canopy and Purlin Extension to tie together in a common plane without
having any structural members exposed.
In addition to the cantilevered, flush rafter this type Eave Line Canopy
includes extension of roof sheets, color-coated soffit panels (MVW or MIP
configuration), plus eave, rake and other trim to match trim on main building.
Soffit panels are optional, but are recommended. Eave gutter with
outlet only or with return downspouts are also optional.
Flush Type Eave Line Canopies less than full length of building are
available upon request as are Flush Type canopies mounted below eave line
on side wall and/or end wall.
EAVE LINE CANOPY ---- EXPOSED RAFTER
When a side wall roof overhang is required and an exposed rafter is
not objectionable, this type Eave Line Canopy can be furnished. Canopy
may project up to 100 maximum, measured from the outside face of the
side wall girts. An exposed Rafter Eave Line Canopy may be specified
on one or both sides of the building. If specified on the high side
of a single slope building this type canopy will slope upward as a continuation
of the buildings roof line.
This canopy differs from the flush type in that the structural rafter
is below the bottom of the purlins and this is exposed to view even if
soffit panels are specified.
In addition to the cantilevered, exposed rafter this type Eave Line
Canopy includes extension of roof sheets plus eave, rake, and other trim
to match trim on main building. Soffit panels (MVW or MIP configuration)
are optional. Eave gutter with outlet only or with return downspouts
are also optional.
Exposed Rafter Eave Line Canopies with projections greater than 100
or with less than full length of building are available upon request, as
are Exposed Rafter type canopies mounted below eave line on side walls
and/or end walls.
