THE
CUSTOM CUPOLAS
Historically, cupolas have often been an important part of many traditional buildings. Today, cupolas are used to complement a much wider range of styles and designs. Banks, courthouses, schools, offices, and motels are buildings that readily accept the custom Campbellsville cupola. THE STOCK STEEPLES
AND CUPOLAS
Not every building that requires a steeple or cupola demands a special custom steeple or cupola. Stock designs offer customers economy units with immediate delivery. Kynar baked-on finishes, anodized finishes, copper, lead-coated copper, microzinc, and other exterior claddings can be provided for stock designs. The all-aluminum framework is lightweight, yet rigidly constructed to meet local windload conditions. Accessories include crosses, weathervanes, finials, clocks, balustrades, and urns.

THE
CUSTOM CORNICES
An endless variety of shapes, designs, and ornaments are combined to create graceful custom cornice systems from Campbellsville Industries. The planning and creation of a custom cornice system is a demanding art, and requires the skills of artisans and craftsmen from inspiration to completion.

Fabricating processes of forming, spinning, and casting are used in the crafting of custom cornice systems. A wide range of metals and materials — aluminum, copper, lead-coated copper, microzinc, urethanes — give unlimited possibilities. Sometimes, custom cornice systems are provided complete with structural aluminum framework, ready for contractor’s/owner’s installation.

Frequently, we are commissioned to create a special design, duplicate an architect’s design, or reproduce a historic landmark. Most any profile and detail can be reproduced, no matter how intricate. However, options can be more economical, and sometimes stock components meet requirements.

THE
STOCK CORNICES
Not every project requires the exacting details that a custom system demands. Here is a collection of stock cornice profiles which has been popular over the years, and is offered in any quantity in lengths up to 12'-0".

Stock cornices are available in .032" aluminum with Kynar 500 baked-on finishes (white, sandstone, cream, colonial white, ivory, and medium bronze), 20 oz. copper, 20 oz. lead-coated copper, or in .032" microzinc.

Blocking and supports for stock cornices are minimal, and installation is easily accomplished. The durability of Campbellsville stock cornices provides the owner savings in maintenance costs. The aluminum cornices with Kynar 500 finishes have a 20 year life expectancy — far exceeding conventionally constructed cornice systems. Other natural metals are even more permanent.

CROSSES
Creating a beautiful cross is a demanding art. Whether it be reproducing a historic cross, creating a special design, or duplicating an architect’s design, Campbellsville Industries will arise to the occasion. Special finishes, including 23 karat gold leafing, are available for all crosses. In addition to custom fabricated crosses, we offer an excellent selection of standard crosses made from 2", 3", 4", 6", and 8" square aluminum tubing.

FINIALS
Ornamental finials often help complete the point of a roof, steeple, cupola, or other towering structure. Finials from Campbellsville are fabricated from aluminum and finished with an industrial vinyl finish, or are fabricated from copper, left to age to a beautiful patina. Sometimes, finials are gilded in a 23 karat gold leaf for a special accent. Anchoring systems can be made adaptable to about any situation, and a lightning protection cable can be provided with the finial. Custom and stock designs are available.

LOUVERS
Louvers from Campbellsville Industries meet many architectural requirements. They are fabricated with fixed blades and have an aluminum insect screen backing. Surface or flush mounting collar optional. Standard louvers are formed from 0.032" aluminum with a variety of stock finishes. Campbellsville Industries can also fabricate special louver designs from a variety of metals — copper, lead-coated copper, stainless steel, turn-coated stainless, etc.

URNS
Urns often combine ideally with railing or balustrade, or can be used as ornamentation for many applications. They are spun from minimum 0.060" aluminum or copper. All thread rod through urn gives added strength and durability. Campbellsville Industries provides many standard designs, plus special designs and sizes.

ALUMINUM COLUMNS
Permanent aluminum columns are decorative as well as functional (load bearing). Many sizes and lengths available, either round or square. Good selection of cast aluminum capitals and bases available. Finishes are baked on.

FIBERGLASS COLUMNS
Our fiberglass columns are specially constructed for all types of decorative and load bearing installations, and have architecturally correct proportions and projections. Fiberglass columns are lightweight, and require very little maintenance. They are ideal or indoor and outdoor applications, because all parts are non-porous, waterproof, and impervious to insect infestation. We offer both plain and fluted units.

WOOD COLUMNS
Custom architectural wood columns are available in Ponderosa pine and clear-heart redwood, totally clear of defects. Staves are constructed using tongue and groove joints, and each stave is tapered to give the column the correct entasis. Correctly styled capitals and bases are available. Wood columns are load bearing. Classical stock wood columns are available for those economy-minded projects that can accommodate less discriminating details.
