Bullet Guard Modular Units

Bullet Guard Corporation has been in the security business since 1976 and an Architectural Armorer providing bullet resistant protection since 1985. Bullet Guard is a design-build systems supplier and/or installer of bullet resisting (proof) products. Projects are taken from concept, through design, into fabrication and manufacture. They are either supplied or installed, as the customer chooses.

All design-build bullet resistant (proof) requirements can be met with one company, Bullet Guard.

PP-Product Presentation

Whether for retrofits or new construction, custom (see 13070) or modular designs, Bullet Guard products are pre-made in our factory and delivered to the job site for final installation by Bullet Guard's trained crew or by others. The method allows for quality control under factory conditions and limited disruption at the job-site.

Bullet Guard makes a complete line of bullet resisting (BR) products. (NOTE: The term resistant versus the word proof does not infer an inferior product. In today’s insurance driven world, nothing is proof except alcohol. Prestigious bullet resisting companies prefer the term resisting because it does not instill an over-confidence to an unknowledgeable public regarding the use of these materials.

Modular Units Vs Custom

Modular construction is made to be completely fabricated in our shop, shipped to the job site and installed by others or by Bullet Guard. The units are generally floor to ceiling and can be single or double counter top widths. They are made for interior transaction or lobby use. They can be stand up or sit down and offer numerous options such as privacy panels. Modular units are particularly appropriate when short term building leases mandate short term applications or relocatability is desirable. They are often considered fixtures and not permanent building improvements.

Modular Units Consists Of 3 Basic Parts:

1. Basic with UL752 fiberglass finished in plastic lam.
2. Counter tops with recessed deal trays and fiberglass inlay.
3. Transaction window with UL752 Clear material and natural voice port and/or soffit to match base. (All Levels of protection are available see chart in Division 06610)

These parts are attached together to form one 8 to 10 foot high structure. They can be very basic or customized to a company's logo colors and finishes. Counter tops can be straight, curved or bull nosed. Add-on components consist of doors, solid walls and large item pass-thrus.

All of our transparent and opaque materials are listed by Underwriters' Laboratories Standard 752. These materials are framed with Bullet Guard's Ballistic Capture Frames to insure complete bullet resistance and to prevent excessive force "pop-out". See sample specification below.
