Crescent® Lavatory
The Crescent® is designed to be used in any high traffic washroom
where wall mounted china lavatories might be considered.
The Crescent® is the best choice for applications requiring light to
moderate duty hand washing, low cost, ADA compliance, and designer good
looks. The crescent shape provides a more linear design with more space
per user without forcing users to stand across from each other.
Priced to compete with wall mounted china lavatories, the Crescent®
saves on space and installation costs. Great for those "value engineered
jobs" where other fixtures get bumped from the spec. The Crescent®
is only 48" inches wide, but provides over 26" of rim space per user (39"
on the two station version). The Crescent® ships ready to mount on
the wall, with only the supply and drain connections, and some optional
equipment, requiring assembly. In addition, the Crescent® is available
in 17 colors with all the advantages of our Terreon® material. Consider
the following points when specifying the Crescent® Lavatory:
-
The shallow bowl and low flow rates are not designed for heavy-duty hand
washing.
-
With a flow rate of .5 GPM per station the Crescent® is perfect for
applications where water and energy conservation is a primary concern.
-
Battery operated infrared control means there is no electrician required
for installation.
-
The Crescent® is the best choice for applications where aesthetics
are an important consideration.
-
Allows 2" for the frame of an ADA compliant mirror when mounted at recommended
heights.
-
The stone look and feel helps to hide water spots and soap residue.
-
The smooth lines and limited joints make the Crescent® the easiest
fixture to clean.
-
While the optional trap cover provides considerable vandal resistance,
the Multi-Founts are a better choice when vandal resistance is the most
important consideration.

Specifications:
Size and Capacity
Accommodates up to 2 or 3 users at a time using less water, energy,
and space than lavs equipped with conventional faucets. Each streamformer
is equipped with a water conserving 0.5 GPM flow restrictor. Operating
range is 20-80 PSI.
Integrated Bowl and Sprayhead
Constructed of Terreon®, a solid surface, homogeneous material
composed of acrylic modified polyester resin with aluminum trihydrate and
other fillers (complying with ANSI Z124.3 and ANSI Z124.6). Terreon®
is resistant to stains, burns, and impact. Surface damage can be easily
repaired with everyday cleansers or fine grit abrasives. A top cover provides
easy access through the top of the fixture.
Trap Cover
Optional trap cover is made from vacuum formed .187 gauge ABS plastic.
It is resistant to stains, burns and impact; and will not chip, peel or
flake.
Vandal Resistance
Top cover, streamformers and infrared sensors are secured from inside
the fixture. All valves, water supplies and waste connections can be concealed
inside the optional trap cover.
Barrier-Free
(ADA & TAS Compliant)
Designed to comply with all ADA and TAS guidelines on reaches, clearances
and operation when mounted at recommended height dimensions (optional
trap cover required). The low profile design of the Crescent allows
up to 2" for the frame of an ADA compliant mirror to be mounted above the
fixture.
Standard Equipment:
In addition to the bowl and access cover, the following valves and
fittings are standard: stop, strainer and check valve; flexible stainless
supply hose, drain spud and lock nut. Stops are ½" NPT female.
Activation Controls:
Battery Operated Infrared Sensor and Valve
Each battery powered sensor uses a zone focused infrared transmitting
beam, creating a large detection area not exceeding the bowl perimeter.
The sensor is not affected by varying skin tones or darkness. When hands
enter the detection area, the sensor starts water flow by opening the valve
electronically. When hands leave the detection area, the sensor stops the
flow of water by closing the valve.
The 9-volt DC, electronically activated, motor driven valve has few
moving parts providing reliable operation that is unaffected by most chemicals
and minerals present in municipal water supplies. The valve is located
inside the operation box assembly along with (6) double-A batteries.
Adaptive Infrared with 24V Transformer
A 24V transformer powers each sensor which uses a conical shape transmitting
beam having a detection area adapted to, but not exceeding the bowl perimeter.
The infrared sensor is not affected by varying color tones or darkness.
The adaptive infrared sensor automatically adapts to the bowl within minutes
after power is turned on.
Each of the streamformers is controlled by a separate solenoid valve.
Hands placed within the bowl are detected by an infrared sensor which activates
a flow of tempered water from one stream former. Shut-off is automatic
after hands are removed from the detection area.
The 24V solenoid valve has few moving parts and is resistant to most
chemicals, minerals, and impurities in municipal water. The system is powered
by a class II, 110/24 VAC plug-in transformer. Location is per local electrical
code.
