For over 70 years The Bowerston Shale Company has been committed to excellence in the manufacturing of face brick, paving brick, and specialty clay products. Bowerston Shale has two state-of-the art production facilities located in some of Ohio’s finest raw material reserves.

Applications
Bowerston Shale products are used extensively on commercial, professional, institutional, and residential projects.

• Architectural face brick in a variety of sizes: Modular, Engineer, Closure, 8x8, Norman, Jumbo Norman, Super Norman, Utility, and Meridian.
• Shades/ranges: Terra Cotta, Red, Red Flash, Chocolate, Chocolate Flash, Buff, Buff Flash, Gray, Ivory, and Ironspot.
• Textures: Smooth, Semi Smooth, Wirecut/Velour, Vertex, Rugg, R/T (Rough Tex), Sanded, and Bark.
• Special shapes: A wide variety of shapes are available to accommodate special design requirements. Technical assistance is available.
• Paving brick: Manufactured in a variety of sizes and colors for use on streets, sidewalks, and patios.
• Custom blends: Custom blending of face brick is offered from Bowerston’s custom shop for very specific matching situations.
• Brick sculpture: On staff artist, studio, and sculpting facilities. Limited only by one’s imagination.
