ACOUSTICAL AUTOMATIC FIRE VENT - TYPE ACDSH

DESCRIPTION:

All Bilco automatic fire vents utilize the patented Thermolatch® II positive hold/release mechanism. This unique latching device ensures reliable vent operation when a fire occurs, and prevents inadvertent opening of covers caused by wind, building vibrations or other factors. The Thermolatch® II is equipped with a UL-listed 165° F (74° C) fusible link for automatic operation. In the event of a fire, heat breaks the fusible link, allowing powerful lifting mechanisms to open the vent covers instantaneously. Pull handles are also provided for interior or exterior manual operation and heavy duty shock absorbers assure smooth opening and eliminate the possibility of operational, roofing or structural damage.

Bilco automatic fire vents offer the best possible value in automatic fire venting. They are ruggedly constructed, fully insulated and gasketed for weathertightness, and designed for many years of reliable operation.

USES and APPLICATIONS:

New STC 46 Sound Rating! Aid Firefighters in bringing a fire under control by removing smoke, heat and gasses from a burning building. Available in a number of standard UL-Listed and FM-approved sizes, vents are designed to guard against noise intrusion and at the same time provide the security of dependable automatic venting in the event of a fire. Vents are ideal for concert halls, theaters and other applications.

MATERIALS and FINISHES

The cover and frame of Bilco Type ACDSH Fire Vents are constructed of 14 gauge (1.99mm) G-90 paint bond galvanized steel.

Bilco steel automatic fire vents are supplied with an alkyd based red oxide primer finish from the factory.

CODES and CERTIFICATIONS

Type ACDSH automatic fire vents are UL listed FM-approved and carry an STC-46 sound rating. Complies with UL 790 Class A (burning brand test).

All Bilco products are designed to provide many years of trouble-free service. In addition, The Bilco Company has a highly skilled customer service department and an international network of factory-trained representatives ready to provide whatever service or assistance you may require. Should a part fail to function in normal use within a period of five (5) years - or longer, as indicated - from the date of purchase, a new part will be furnished at no charge.
