The Berridge Solution to On-Site Forming Needs

In 1984, Berridge Manufacturing Company solved the problem of on-site architectural panel fabrication quality control with the introduction of the Berridge Model SS-14 Portable Roll-Former. This new machine solved the problems of large size, high cost and difficulty of adjustment in the field.

A Model for Each Panel Profile – No Adjustments Required

To solve the problems associated with defective panels often resulting from incorrectly adjusted portable roll formers, Berridge portable roll formers are designed to form a specific profile with no field adjustments needed.

Curved, Tapered and Compound Curved Panels: A Berridge Distinction

The Berridge Model SS-14 revolutionized the architectural metal panel industry by being able to form either Convex or Concave Curved Panels. Tapered panels for cone shaped roofs are formed on the Berridge SL-24 and compound curved panels are manufactured using the Berridge SL-1 machine.

Advantages of On-Site Roll-Forming

Labor-Intensive, Leak-Prone Endlaps are Eliminated

Because continuous-length roof panels are formed, time-consuming endlaps and the problems associated with leaks due to improper installation and caulking are eliminated.

Freight Damage is Prevented

Quite often, long delays occur due to standing seam panels arriving in unusable condition at the jobsite due to transit or freight damage. With on-site forming, painted coil is formed into long, continuous-length panels at the jobsite, which virtually eliminates transit damage.

Substantial Freight Cost Savings

Even on large jobs, one truck can haul all required painted coil, snap-on seams, flat sheet and the portable roll former. There's no need to pay the extra cost for packaging and additional truckloads.

Panels can be Measured & Cut on Site for an Exact Fit

Since actual field measurements taken from the completed roof substrate can be used to generate an on-site cut list, an exact fit is easily achieved and waste is minimized.
