IllumiTread – Photoluminescent Stair Nosings Balco IllumiTread™ Stair Nosings incorporate strontium aluminate photoluminescent material for faster charging and 30-times higher illumination than conventional stair markings.
They can be fitted into our heavy-duty metal stair treads or installed independently and are aluminum-reinforced to stand up to hard use.
Our photoluminescent stair nosings work in indoor or outdoor applications.
They are designed to exceed New York City RS 6-1 and RS 6-1A Brightness Rating Requirements, are easy to clean, are non-flammable, non-toxic, non-radioactive, and strong enough for permanent installation in heavy traffic areas.
