MeltonStone™ Cast Stone Architectural Elements MeltonStone™ cast stone elements provide an affordable alternative to hand cut natural stone, while still offering the appearance and long term durability of natural stone. The elements are manufactured to look like brownstone, limestone, slate, granite, blue stone, travertine, or marble, and are available in any color. Melton Classics offers a variety of standard colors and profiles, but we can create virtually any color or profile for your project.
The Finest Materials
Only the best materials are used to manufacture MeltonStone™ Cast Stone Architectural Elements. Each component is cast from aggregates such as quartz, marble, limestone, calcite, granite, as well as Portland cement, coloring pigments, chemical admixtures, and water. The mixture is proportioned for maximum density, resulting in the fine grained texture similar to natural stone. Each cast stone piece is thoroughly inspected through every phase of the manufacturing process to ensure that the quality and appearance meet our standards. MeltonStone™ cast stone elements also meet or exceed the requirements of the Cast Stone Institute.
Better Appearance and Quality Than Precast Concrete
MeltonStone™ cast stone has a "sugar cube" like finish which differentiates it from the more rough and pitted finish associated with precast concrete. It is also has lower moisture absorption and is more resistant to weather and dirt. The dense finish has no pits or bug holes, and it permanently retains its granular texture through years of exposure to the elements. Steel reinforcing can also be added to MeltonStone™ in order to achieve the structural advantages of precast concrete.
