Electrical Options

Exit Devices

A number of Exit Device electrification options can be ordered for access control of The RITE Door®. Options can be used for independent access control or to integrate with existing systems.

Alarm Function:

Pushbar incorporates a built-in alarm and Emergency Exit warning. Can be ordered with self-contained battery or hardwired with Nicad battery back-up

Electric Dogging:

Incorporates a holding magnet to keep the pushbar depressed and the latch open. Requires 24VDC Power.

4603 Rectifier/4605 Transformer:

Rectifier converts AC current to DC of same voltage. Transformer mounts to standard junction box and provides 12 or 24VAC.


Electrical Options

D-PS-LR Power Supply:

Required for Latch Retraction Option. Provides 16 amps power in 28VDC.

D-PS1 Power Supply:

Provides 1 AMP regulated power at 12 or 24VDC.

Latch Retraction:

Incorperates a solenoid in the pushbar to lock and unlock door from a remote location or access control device. Fail-secure operation. Requires PS-LR Power Supply.

D4612 Series Power Transfer:

Completely conceals wire transfers from door to frame. Surface loop model also available.

M1/2 Monitor Switches:

Incorperates one or two switches in the pushbar for monitoring. Not available for latch retraction.


Electrical Options

Electrified Entry Trim

For 3000/8000 Series Exit Devices:

Heavy Duty Clutch:

Breakaway clutching mechanism protects the locked handle from vandalism or forced entry, in either direction. This also makes the trim rehandable in the field.

Function:

The 3080E Series provides outside activation of wood, hollow metal or narrow stile aluminum doors that have any type of Adams Rite Exit Device. The 3080E Series operates as specified in either 12 (.5 amp) or 24 (.25 amp) VDC, using a rectifier and transformer. Accepts any standard mortise cylinder with MS cam.


Electrical Options

Escutcheon:

Measures approx. 2" × 8" × 1-1/4". Can be ordered with or without a cylinder hole for key override control.

Modular Construction:

All models share the same core components, so handles can be changed without having to replace the entire trim. Solid construction meets Grade 1 standards.

Fail Safe/Fail Secure:

Trim can be ordered Fail Secure or Fail Safe.


Electrical Options

Wire Transfer

D4612:

Function:

Provides a secure and unobtrusive means of channeling electrical wiring from the door frame into the door itself, for powering electric strikes, locks, exit bars, etc. Suitable for any door hung with butt-type hinges, including continuous or pivots offset 3/4" or less. (Not compatible with center-pivot doors.)


Electrical Options

Conduit:

Spring steel helix has internal diameter of approximately 5/16". This provides ample room for multiple wires of the low voltage type used with most electrical hardware.

Housing:

Stamped steel, approximately 1/16" thick. Short (105 degree swing) version shown is 11-1/2" long. 180 degree version is 20-5/32" long. Chrome finish.
