ABATRON was founded in 1959 and specialized in the research, development and custom formulation of epoxy and polyester compounds. Later, urethanes, acrylics, silicones, copolymers and other compounds were added to the company's product offerings. Since its founding, ABATRON has continued to meet and create specifications for architectural, industrial, electronic and marine applications.
In today's marketplace, "green" is the go word. With increasing public concern for the environment, "green" products are in high demand. Ideally, these products are recyclable and have little or no adverse impact on the environment such as the emission of noxious gasses. In this regard, most ABATRON products are very green and some have even been GREENGUARD Certified for low emissions. They have saved countless structures from landfills and most contain virtually no VOC's.
ABATRON's product criteria are:
- High-performance and Structural Properties
- Permanence
- Safety to the Applicator and Environment
- Ease of Use
The products are supported by the company's technical staff which can be reached as described above.
Below are product highlights:
LiquidWood® penetrates and hardens deteriorated wood, restoring its strength and function. WoodEpox® structural adhesive paste can be used in any thickness to fill wood and replace missing sections of wood. When hardened, these products can be painted, stained, nailed and worked like wood. Together they make a complete wood repair.
When permanent bonding and structural strength matter, ABATRON's products meet the most demanding requirements. Their applications include patching, bonding, crack-repair, anchoring, bonding new and old concrete, joint sealing and structural crack-injection.
The product selection for metal repair includes adhesives and repair compounds filled with aluminum, steel and stainless steel in a variety of viscosities.
Solventborne and 100% epoxy solids coatings protect surfaces against even the harshest environments such as effluents, salts and fuel. Waterborne coatings protect and decorate floors in enclosed areas where low odor and low VOC's are required.
Replicating moldings and architectural details in historic buildings can be challenging. ABATRON has developed moldmaking compounds which are relatively easy to use in situ and non-toxic.
