Product Presentation

To prevent deterioration to roof materials, roof decking, fasteners, soffit and framing members from moisture build-up, a ventilated attic or mansard cavity may be required.. ATAS produces a full line of ventilated panels and trim and flashing components; from vented ridge assemblies, to vented soffit trim.

Metal panels with a deep configuration, such as the ScanRoof simulated tile, do not rest completely on the roof deck, thus allowing air to flow between the metal and the deck or framing. The airflow acts as an insulator or coolant depending on the temperature between the deck surface and panel, and it prevents moisture from collecting in the roof cavity.

VENTED RIDGE CAP:

Used to ventilate a standing seam or other metal roof system, the Vented Ridge Cap has a concealed vent (lanced) strip that runs the complete length of the roof. The strip can be installed on both sides of the ridge or along one side according to your needs.

VENTED NOSE TRIM:

The conversion/nose trim is manufactured with a vented (lanced) area. It is less conspicuous than a vented soffit panel, but just as effective. The lanced nose trim can be used even if the soffit is a non-metal system. It will prevent moisture buildup in the overhang and attic space and may prevent the peeling of paint and the growth of mildew in the soffit installation, as well as protection of the roof materials and/or decking.

VENTED SOFFIT TRIM:

In this application, the ventilation/lanced area is in the soffit and runs along the wall. The strip is installed first, followed by the J channel and soffit panel. The lanced vent strip can be modified to be recessed. When the strip is recessed, it is virtually concealed from sight.

Several of ATAS panel profiles (aluminum only) can be lanced for passive ventilation, such as:

  • Wind-Lok™ Soffit (WLV)
  • Opaline (OPW, OPN, OPF) in continuous application with the solid panels.
  • Design Wall (DSF, DWF only) in continuous application with the solid panels.
