Product Presentation
The trim and accessories are an important part of a metal panel installation.
Care must be taken to select the proper trim pieces to insure ease of installation
and a true water/weather shield. Accessories should be adjusted to suit
the panel profile selected.
Make the perimeter flashing or coping part of the design of the structure,
a picture frame detail! Use a functional strip of metal to its full potential;
let it add identification to a dull surface. A bright blue coping on a
cream colored building, or a green edging to a brick front adds interest.
Repeat the color as a light box, sign strip or a focal point at the entrance.
The trim and accessories can be produced in the same material, finish
and color as the panel, or any combination of gauges and colors to coordinate
with or accent a design. ATAS has a capable staff to help you with design,
shop drawings and production of these crucial elements of a roof design.
This will allow "single source responsibility" for your project.
Materials
Aluminum Alloy 3105 H14 or 3003 H14 (equivalent to ASTM B-209 Designation).
Galvanized Steel (ASTM A-446 Commercial Grade Specification). Galvanizing
meets ASTM A-525 G-90 (1.25 oz.).
Materials are pretreated, primed and coated with a full strength Fluoropolymer
(containing a minimum of 70% KYNAR 500®/HYLAR 5000® Resin) finish,
consisting of 1.0± mil total dry film thickness (.2 mil primer with
a .8 mil topcoat). Reverse side is coated with a wash coat of .4 to .5
mil dry film thickness.
Texture; Smooth or stucco embossed.
Masking is available upon request. This is a strippable vinyl film which
is a protective covering for handling the material during installation.
The vinyl masking must be removed immediately after installation and should
not be exposed to continued periods of direct sunlight or extreme heat.
Limitations
All ATAS materials are pre-finished and, therefore, care should be taken
during installation of materials. Oilcanning is not a just cause for rejection
of material. Installation of materials should conform to standards established
by the Architectural Sheet Metal Community. Minor scratches should be touched-up
immediately, utilizing an air dry coating furnished by ATAS. All metal
shavings, chips, and dust must be removed from material immediately. Material
shall be deemed unreturnable after installation.
