Product Presentation

PermaShake is a metal panel embossed with a wood grain to simulate traditional wood shake shingles. The benefit of PermaShake is low maintenance. Opposed to actual wood shake shingles, metal shake shingles are resistant to fire, mildew, algae, termites and other wood prone pests. Additionally, PermaShake will not crack, split, warp or rot. Combined, these features save homeowners money by avoiding the maintenance that is inherent to wood shake shingles.

The interlocking modules are fastened with an anchor clip and lock system. PermaShake panel seams should be staggered to present a natural appearance. The panels are ICBO approved and available in five standard colors with the Kynar 500® or Hylar 5000® finish.

Sizes and Profiles:

The length of the PermaShake panel is 60" and the width is 10". The panel has a simulated shake configuration.

Composition and Materials:

Panels are roll-formed from 29 gauge Metallic Coated Steel and .032 aluminum.

Color and Finish:

Five (5) standard colors are available in the high performance Kynar 500/Hylar 5000. The colors are: Rocky Grey, Slate Grey, Char Brown, Mission Red, Slate Blue.

Availability and Cost

PermaShake panels are available through ATAS product distributors. A complete line of accessories and rainware in matching or coordinating colors is available to complete a project. Valleys, Ridge Caps, Gable and Eave trims are formed to customer specifications. Ridge Caps, Soffit or other Trim Designs can be lanced for ventilation. Coil stock or flat sheet can be provided for field fabrication of custom flashings.

Installation

PermnaShake panels are installed horizontally from eave to ridge. Four-way interlocking modules are fastened with an anchor clip and lock system. Panel seams should be staggered for a natural appearance. Installation manuals or hands-on training through seminars are available. Contact ATAS technical service advisors for information.

Maintenance

PermaShake panels are virtually maintenance free. The high quality finish will not fade, chalk, crack or peel, and since the substrate is metal, the shingle will not warp, rot or break. Surface residue may be easily removed by conventional cleaning methods. Minor scratches may be touched up with a matching paint, available from the manufacturer.
