Product Presentation

Metafor and Arc-Metafor panels with the Wind-Lok™ application have a ribbed appearance with a concealed clipless fastening system. Lightweight, but strong, installation does not require additional structural changes. The panels can be applied directly to wood or metal framing. These panels are typically used for siding, ceilings, fascias, mansards and equipment screens, walkways, balconies, entrances and vestibules. Arc-Metafor panels are custom formed to a convex shape, and may be applied directly to the framing, without the need for sub-sheathing.

Sizes and Profiles:

Panel widths are 12", panel depth is 5/8". Arc-Metafor panels have a minimum convex radius of 5'. When calculating panel length for Arc-Metafor, allow for an 9" deflection on each end of the panel (18" total). Metafor Panel lengths are custom specified from 2' to transportation limitations.

Composition and Metafor Materials:

Metafor panels (MFP120) are roll-formed from .032, .040, or .050 Aluminum. Arc-Metafor panels Convex, MFX120 is available in .032 Aluminum only.

Color and Finish:

A choice of 30 colors is available in a Kynar 500® or Hylar 5000® based finish. (Request color chart or chips.) An anodized finish is available in clear or dark bronze.

Warranty

The Kynar 500® or Hylar 5000® based finish carries a thirty (30) year limited warranty against chipping, cracking, peeling, chalking and fading.

Availability and Cost

Metafor and Arc-Metafor panels are available through ATAS product distributors. A complete line of accessories in matching or coordinating colors is available to complete a project. Valleys, Ridge Caps, Gable and Eave trims are formed to customer specifications. Ridge Caps, Soffit or other Trim Designs can be lanced for ventilation. Coil stock or flat sheet can be provided for field fabrication of custom flashings.

Installation

Installation is achieved by interlocking the panel into the preceding panel and fastening with mechanical fasteners. The rib of the adjoining panel will conceal the fasteners. Installation manuals or hands-on training through seminars are available. Contact ATAS technical service advisors for information.

Maintenance

Metafor and Arc-Metafor panels are virtually maintenance free. The high quality finish will not fade, chalk, crack or peel, and since the substrate is metal, the panel will not warp, rot or break. Surface residue may be easily removed by conventional cleaning methods. Minor scratches may be touched up with a matching paint, available from the manufacturer.
