Insulated Glass for Residential and Commercial Applications

An AGC Insulated Glass Unit consists of two or more lites of glass being separated by a high-quality spacer and air space which has been sealed by an organic compound and kept continually dehydrated by a specially formulated drying agent inside the spacer. The sealants used by AGC include: Swiggle Seal*, Polysulfide Seal, Dual Seal Polysulfide and Silicone, state-of-the-art warm edge low-conductance spacers, and virtually every type in between.

Commercial Applications

AGC is known throughout the industry for having the most reliable manufacturing facilities and highest quality possible. Our products meet or exceed IGCC, IGMA and ALI standards for insulated glass, as required for participation in many high-profile architectural projects. The challenge to create structures that are both attractive and efficient is met by the broad range of AGC Insulated Glass options. By combining various thicknesses, coatings and tints, architects can create buildings that are energy efficient and reflect the beauty of their surroundings.

Residential Applications

Our quality insulated unit is not limited to use in today's architectural monuments. In fact, some of our most pleasing installations can be seen in your own backyard, quietly incorporating quality features like our family of pyrolytic and sputtered Low-E coatings, tinted glasses, argon gas, bentmuntin bars or other custom-manufactured benefits designed to meet the most rigorous criteria set forth by today's homeowner. Serving many of today's most popular window manufacturers, insulated units from AGC can be seen at work in many North American homes.

Air-to-air heat transfer is the greatest cause of heat and cooling losses through windows in the home. AGC insulated units reduce this air-to-air transfer. The air space between the lites of glass provides insulation that will allow homeowners to enjoy increased personal comfort and energy conservation while reducing sound transmission and energy costs. AGC can manufacture insulated units in a variety of angles, shapes and patterns, utilizing the features of tinted glass and low-emissivity glass to maximize performance in your windows.
